The School Council is a separate body from the P & C and is responsible for contributing to the overall governance and policy making in the school.

Nominations for two (2) parent representative positions for 2010/2011 are now being called. If you are interested in being a member of the school council, please notify the school before Friday 20th November.

Burnside’s Green Day Out

The final Burnside family fun day for the year will take place on Saturday 28th November. There will be fun for all the family with rides, a barbecue, planting and other fun things to do.  Events will commence at 3.00pm and conclude at 7.00pm. Please note that parents must accompany their children on this occasion and there is no parking in the school grounds.

Presentation Night – Tuesday 15th December at the King’s Preparatory School

Plans for the annual presentation night are already underway. This is a major event of the year and attendance by all students is expected and strongly encouraged. If for some reason you are unable to attend this event, it is important that teachers are informed as soon as possible. More details will be provided closer to the event.

Helpers Lunch

Invitations to the lunch planned for Friday 4th December were sent home last week. This is an opportunity to thank parents, friends and scripture teachers who have helped the staff and students throughout the year. It is a time to acknowledge those parents who may be leaving the school after a long association. The luncheon will be held in the school hall between 1.00pm and 2.00pm. If we inadvertently overlooked someone, please accept this as a personal invitation. For catering purposes, please return the slip on the note.

RTA Message

There will be road maintenance work on Pennant Hills Road from Thursday 19th November until Sunday 13th December (weather permitting). This work will be between Masons Drive and James Ruse Drive.
